david notices one of the blue explody rats coming out of the hole where we are at.
rat goes boom, hannah may have gotten infected.

start doing remove affliction on the infected. Hanndah has some weird thing going on. Chant trying to heal hannah gets feedback as the virus tries to infect him through the heal, but something burns it out.
manage to heal heal almost all the infected without too much trouble.

netherial spell wars, pair of lords hired some wizards to fight for land. then things escalated into a giant mess.
one mage went nuts and did some horrible stuff

the tvirus is making an intelligent hive mind. The virus has infected something that either is or can be a hive mind. Telepathic bears, or cruthiks.
found a bunch weird monsters that she burned.

the tvirus stuff tried to get into water supply but did not go near water that was blessed by some god. Massive purification powers in the water.
a halfling diety of kinda hobbit. They are suuper good at growing things. They revere a god that is possibly a form of mystra, meliki, or luck one.
they possibly prey to what was the original of the three other dieties.
we do know that some sort of halflings, the compound is basically workign for them.

Chant taveren sight now can percieve the source code behind it. But not understanding it.
Chant sticks hand into water to get some. The staff is suddenly glowing.

surge is halved, dex, int, wis, cha checks are minus 10. Some diety stares at the area, but then leaves because it cant seem to see us.

for some reason david is not getting picked up on radar. David is dead but still moving around.

Susan has a doom wagon that kills things. It used somewhat morally questionable things. Susan’s original pact is infernal warlock but she has other interesting stuff. But definitely primordial ties.

we thin about using primal mana, talk to plua about using it.
use the helmet of concept translation to understand her, its lots of text….there were very common to have mana spirits. Using of mana energy was not unheard of.

We fly to the city. There is some terrain with a mountain range that is rainforest which is weird for the climate and area.
we land in an alley in town. Dragon has phasing and stealth while flying.

we do map of unseen lands, get names for the compound. 4 other names. 3 are on the outside of townin migratory housing and one which is on the other side of town.
there is a lot of dangerous wildlife in the area that needs taking care.
Urgranda Compound is the place.
a family of druids and rangers, a tribe of “natives”. The worship a nature diety. They claimed the area and supply animals. Poachers are not dealt with nicely.
They choose intermediary merchants who deal with people for the clan.
Merchant works as an intermediary at the compound for people who come to buy animals.
These are very fancy and expensive animals.

This place has heard of shadyvale, Also known for trading cause interesting things come in and out of shadyvale. The monkey that we burned was not getting along with the other monkeys, tried to gain leadership.
It was part of the captivity group of monkeys that they sell off when numbers get high. It was born in captivity.

david has some sort of vision, with a gem. that seems to detect magic when magic effects are used.
The guy has records of the monkey, has serial number. With its full history and all that. The two handlers who got the monkey, where it was stored. The other monkeys in the batch with which it was. Some going to baldurs gate and then across the sea, some are going to ten towns.

We go off to the pens, two elves join us, they seem to be some kind of shamans.

Mitch- made a swimming stadium. One of the pools has no water also has a dial no one is willing to touch it, second is freezing and can be lowered to below freezing but kept liquid by magic, last is a hot tub, with dial to heat it. Olympic size, three story building. Looks like it can have addons.

The old kingdom is a cyclops civilisation in its golden age before the time that the fomorians were formed. David’s perspective is of someone who was a member of that civilisation. Groupy worshipped many gods but also had ancestral worship of the ruling family. The were highly advances in arcane study. It was peaceful. Vague impression of a looming fey enemy, with two evil eyes and tentacle horrors and an ovelwhelming presence of awareness controlling the tentacle horrors. They used mainly airbased archons. Earth based fey that were seeking the sky.
There used to be followers of evening glory but they are not anymore, which irritates her.
Fomorians may have come from this kingdom.

lil miss lists out master stranger protocols. They were all somewhat similar, as if someone else was powering them. Could start a psychic wards to detect already identified evil signatures, t virus, and people who say they are not.

Chant remains in town, he spends several days checking the energy signals.

Warforged Panzer Kunst mercs like the zero-G pool, available for hire.

Verinal is trying to figure out how to talk to Evening Glory. Using some of the census data, he seeks out some possible candidates- two warforged and an eladrin. He starts out with the eladrin- the eladrin tends to wear a single blue glove and makes lots of interesting enchantments relating to beauty products. (During Achron, he and his assistant were wearing two blue gloves and everyone was making fear checks o_o). He’s using some rare beasts to make these. Verinal sees this momentary blue aura around everything, and one in particular glows- a creature that would have necrotic resist. Unusual for large beasts to have that.

“Ex-floriating cleansers” when Verinal asks about it. WTF, sayeth Verinal. Smelling it, carrion crawler of some kind. Removes fungal growths that are unsightly in the southern nobility, along with for the druids and hamadryads.

Verinal plays along for a while with the guy testing his knowledge as he brings him items to see.

Later that night, Verinal sets up the ritual at the church, Warforged and Shiva are watching from the back a bit. At 1 am, he does the ritual and feels a presence.

‘Locations’ can’t tell if it’s the same on twice, or different ones.

  1. One is of a run-down church, human made, stone. Impression of two the west. Barony of Therund
  2. Unknown construction, dark out, made for shorter folk- some sort of temple? He swims down into the doors and looks like a cathedral. Coming in from a cavern. Stone benches lead up to an altar with a door behind. No furnishings in either of these locations. Gothic style, but no noticeable iconography (South and Down- under thunderspire mountainish)
  3. Above ground, high noon during an eclipse, standing at the base of a stepped structure. The staircases have short, flat steps and the whole thing is easily 100 feet tall. Short trees and really, really big trees are around it. VInes and ferns, suggests a tropical climate- there are striking similarities between this and the Orium dragon’s place. It’s a temple, and there’s a sense of a staircase leading underneath.
  4. Moon over a glade, with standing stones, within them the water is especially clear and the moon reflects in it. Around the edges of the pool is very large sand/pebbles. Coming in from the stone blocks are concentric rings of toadstools. In the middle of the pool is an island, and on the island there is a small construction, like a little house. This one is south and west, and feels like there’s directional shenanigans.
  5. Small construction, large vaulted ceilings, ‘cathedral’ feel, at least in size? Looks similar at first, but can’t quite determine what’s different about it, despite niggling feeling. This time not sure if underground. Southwest towards Arundel.

During the kingdom, the Formori did not exist, a ‘golden age’ as a civilization reached upward. Frame of reference is from a citizen of this time…. (Verinal’s memories that spark as she says things). Ancestral worship in relation to the ruling family. Excellent at arcane/religious stuff. Time of peace, but a bit on the martial side culturally. Used constructs along the lines of archons, especially air, but also bits of earth, fire, lightning. Earth-based fey aiming for air.
Vague impression of a looming enemy, also of fey, about the same size. Sense two eyes staring, and behind all this tentacled horrors. More looming, controlling all the tentacles. empire led by cult of tentacle horrors led by a cult leader.

This empire used to have followers of Evening Glory, don’t anymore.

The warforged and Shiva are looking. As the warforged tries to look at it, Shiva throws her hands in the way, so the warforged doesn’t see. Warforged misses something very important, but gets this creepy body horror sense- it’s coming specifically from Verinal. Try to look at the universe, and get a sense that this has something to do with souls and how they interact with the world. Something catches notice of warforged but Shiva goes ‘mine’ at it and it goes away. Again, missed something VERY IMPORTANT (Hannah rolled very poorly on all her checks).

Chant is pissed about town numbers.

Have not found groups that use inverted pyramids, also learned how these pyramids tend to work (base gathers, goes to point). Geomancy connection.

We are somewhere in the bottom the floaty castle
there are corridors going 6 ways and one going up which is an energy conduit.
and then some people licked some stairs for reasons we will not go into.
go into the corridor, walk for a while get to a corridor with windows that it hurts to look out of.
fix the distortion via magic, and see into some sort of mountain valley.
space seems to be folded onto itself.
some sort of caustic agent smell that is not food based.
attempt to do a sending when a cloud seems to descends on us.
fight the werd primordial divine elemental frankenstein.
the rooms have weird space folded perspective.
check each room and the view outside the window.
the last room has a window that is black-mythological creatures.
we hear a wolf echo so we go back to central room, the wolf people made sandwitches. One of them is missing.

elven balm that works against glamor. Ask them to show this to rorona.- put on eye lid do not drink.
ryan drinks one…hes…yeah…
chant would introduce them to wolves.

we then go back down with slight difficulty, then we sit down and share a giant burger.

have to go back to the necrotic damage area.
do ritual shenanigan thingy that gives necrotic effect mitigation and a temp pool.
also put people on dragons, and put sarah in the star bag(with gore nova….eeeeeeeeeeee…….)
start our speed run in the area mounted on wolves and dragons.
pass through winding catacombs.
find an area built for something bigger than cyclops.
enter a stylized cavern, with a giant darkonid with a cyclops head.
we go down a stair case pass through some barrier which does a ton of damage to our temp shield and then enter an area that does not have the necro field.
the area is warded to prevent the necro effect.

suprise some of the cyclops people and take them out.
Find 4 dwarves two orc-like guys, and 6 of our scouts, 2 are carved wiht runes. We put the humans and the dwaves with some healing.
Bribe our way past the giant draconid with burgers again.
We run away quickly, but eventually get spotted, keep running.
See some sort of giant cyclops thing that is probably a direct line of the children of the mountain.
behind him is a robed skeletal cyclops.
stoned dragon follows us as we keep running away.
hannah persuades him that he should go to Bob’s in shadyvale. He picks up the patry and flies there.

set carved people to hospital to cure the carving.
chant takes a few days to get the shackles off of the guys.

will need to figure out how to adapt the shackles to shield us.
11 days after last date when party gets back to town. 15th back in town.

wandering around in directions

Moe is made out a pale golden stone.
doing some dungeoneering on it its stone like non metalic. Glass like and cool to the touch.

the whole room seems to be an illusion

hannah leads the party around in a very weird path that she says is the right thing.

approach a tunnel that is coming out of the ground, it looks like stairs to the party.

moe feels its very earthy in here.
we seem to have entered the fey dark.

the area we are in seems to be heavily warded against living.
seem to be in some sort of fancy decorated room, dont recognise anything in here. the skull looks weird, may be an some ancient species.
every bit of stone has been separately enchanted with illusion

notice other set of doors opening so we leave, but peek through the door
see a troop marching in. well armed and armored, they are large size.
they have glowy eyes.
david recognises some of the runes, can draw them from meory.
some runes with sustaining in death and life living forever by stretching life force forever.
second set of runes on the weapons is meant for eating life of others and giving it for to the wielder sort of.

mountain-earth clinmbing toward the sky(as in the lattice of the heavens)

the whole place was fortifing certain people by draining others.

we leave the hall and go back to the weird illusion room. Go upwards.

7-11-15 Hannah Notes

Continuing in the Fey Bubble in search of our scouts.

Runed Hallway

After our fight with the nasty cyclops, we examine Moe, who’s been petrified. She is a golden-like stone, but also a crystalline nature. The nature of it is sort of like obsidian in terms of feel. When we take some time to hold light up to her, she then glows afterwards, like a slow heartbeat of a dragon.

This is a petrification-like effect is very structured. In addition to the earth-elemental style that often happens with petrification-like effects, this one has air element on it.

Runes on the wall: “flow” transferring of something. It was either on the top or the bottom of the castle, bringing flow of light and air to the stonework/enchantment of the castle. Moe is caught in this stream. We are going to try and move her out of the stream.

I attached a bunch of sunrods to Moe, and she starts having lines of light, with a pool of it where her breath is. The longer we have the lights to her…the more pokey she is? Becoming more like flesh.

We do a life-light-air ritual thing to try and return Moe to a living state, Asuka provides blood smiley and then breath to provide the life element for Moe.

Smoky Room

We enter the next room, which we can only see about 60 feet out before a strange smoke. I don’t believe it! Instead the group was walking on air in a dark room where their lights glint off metallic sheen of clouds swirling around. Poking head around the edge of the tunnel, the walls were black with rolling heat…or air…or something? across it. Warforged calls the group back, but the group can’t see what she’s seeing.


At the bottom, it appears that we are at the bottom of a quarry. There, there is a tunnel that leads further and we discover that passing through this we’ve entered the feydark.

Seeing doors. Spell in nature, not artistic detail on the doors in the feydark. 30 x90.
Entrance hall/throne room as we open the place. We don’t recognize the items/style of the place. Only thing we recognize is a giant dragon head. Body proportions are a little off. If you’re not undead then you lose 5 hit points every 30 seconds-1 minute or so. This place is made of power. Everything ollld

EVERY THING IS ENCHANTED ILLUSIONS, BLOCK BY BLOCK. DAMN GUYS. WTF. The door we’re closer to is where the bracer is, and then the far doors (we came in the side door)

In two files coming down are larger humanoids, they are dressed in dark plate. Light axes. Scale armor and spiked clubs come in behind that. Behind that, with large spiked chains and plate are some ones that are different. They have runic patterns on the plate, and they have dress things and they might be gliding. Blue-white glow from under their visors. Runes glowing slightly in a white-blue color. Everyone but this last set are wearing helmets, with a visor that covers most, and a red glow inside. The ones with the spiked chains have two slots, one eyes for runic gliding types. The last pair are a large set with staves, carved with runes, reddish glows. In between them appears to be a coffer. Robes with runes. Hoods are lit with a reddish-orange glow, single point coming from the center of their head.


  • Safe from the Feydark, Verinal realizes he recognized the runes on these guys. The guys with runes- ‘sustained in death and life’. They seemed to have gotten around becoming horrid undead by the second set of runes ‘freshly spilled life adds to their strength’.

Guys with swords, runes were active because they’d recently killed something. Also felt the touch of undeath upon them.

Other ones: heraldry/kamon showing names. Three keywords:
1. Remnant
2. Mountain
3. Kingdom (Of the People)

Much discussion of origins of formorians and cyclops, and their echoes from the giants. Discussion of these in relation to the first and second Dawn Wars. Verinal may want to check in with Evening Glory.

Our current guesses are that the “event” is the 2nd Dawn War, and that the “one who came before” is some sort of progenitor to the Fomorians, or the first Fomorian, or the first Cyclops created, or something of that sort.

and mellow dragons

There is probably a bracer piece here somewhere. Figure out that the other pieces are probably in similar bubbles of other reality. The pings we get on the material plane are not the actual locations.

David looks at book of the mellow cyclops, sees a crest that he remembers seeing somewhere. Was either somewhere in that underground tower, of something from fizzban, or the weird book we found at candle keep. The book is made of metallic alloy, not leather.

try to walk by the cyclops he flips a sconce that turns on some sort of petrification effect. Moe gets petrified.
Then we fight him, he has a magenkyo sharingan.

we seem to kill him but then reality shifts he has lost his eye and is really pissed at us.

and then tournament things, chant get press ganged by mitch, he plans to knock him out.
